What is Dental Bonding?
A normally non-invasive cosmetic treatment, dental bonding applies a tooth-coloured composite material to your tooth which is then formed into shape, then hardened and polished. Our Markham dentists at Hunter Dental use bonding to try and create a more even-looking smile.

A composite material will be applied to your tooth in multiple layers. Your dentist will use specialized light to cure each layer. Once the final layer has hardened, your dentist should begin to shape and polish it to form the front of your tooth. The finished result should be a smooth and natural-looking tooth surface.
Bonding may eventually wear down, so touch-ups might be required to maintain the look of the dental bonding.
Dental Bonding Uses
Most often used to restore discoloured or chipped teeth, dental bonding can also close gaps between teeth and change the shape of a tooth.
